Does hypnosis really work?
Yes, in 1958, the American Medical Association certified hypnosis as a legitimate treatment tool.
Is hypnosis safe?
Hypnosis is 100% safe. Contrary to popular belief, you cannot be hypnotized unwillingly. Also, when you are hypnotized, you will not follow directions against your wishes. You must be willing to focus your attention and follow the suggestions of the hypnotist. Hypnosis reduces stress by increasing relaxation, offering positive suggestions, and eliminating negative thoughts.
Can I be hypnotized?
Yes, it is possible for anyone to be hypnotized. However, it is important to remember that achieving change by using hypnosis is also dependent upon many variables: your motivation, your commitment, and attendance of scheduled sessions. The only way to truly know if hypnosis is right for you is to attend your free evaluation. During that time, our trained staff will ask you specific questions designed to determine what is stopping you from reaching your goal. If Positive Changes Hypnosis is right for you, we'll recommend it and get you started.
How will I know I'm hypnotized?
Many people have difficulty telling the difference between a hypnotized state and a "waking" state. In fact, you may simply feel deeply relaxed. This sensation is most similar to the mild hypnotic states that people experience in their every-day lives, such as when driving a familiar route without thinking about it or "zoning out" while watching television. As always, you are always fully in control of your mind and body throughout the entirety of each hypnosis session. Learn more about how hypnosis works
Can I be too strong-willed to be hypnotized?
Many people believe only weak-minded or gullible people can be hypnotized. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, the reverse is true - intelligent and strong-willed individuals are generally very successful with hypnosis. Success with hypnosis relies on your ability to use your imagination, listen and follow directions.
I've been hypnotized elsewhere, but it didn't work.
There are many different methods of hypnosis. You can share your past experience with your evaluator and together you'll determine if our hypnosis is right for you.
