Abraham Mikalov

My name is Abraham Mikalov, MD. I am a physician specializing in breast health. I live in Columbus, Ohio with my wife and our two children. I came to Positive Changes Hypnosis for two reasons. First, I wanted to reduce the job-related stress in my life, improve my focus, and relax more easily. Secondly, I wanted to research hypnosis as a resource for my patients who are undergoing treatment for breast cancer or who are in chemotherapy, many of whom are under a great deal of stress or are suffering from intense pain.

I had tried other methods to reduce stress. I tried exercise. I read books about health and philosophy. I watched other people use chemicals and alcohol to reduce their stress, and I didn't want to go down that path. So I looked for another way. I was referred to Positive Changes by a friend, who is also a health practitioner. She used hypnosis to lose thirty pounds that she had battled with for a long time. She was very impressed with her experience at Positive Changes. I was interested in looking into it further. I wanted to try it out on myself and see if I derived benefit from it before I recommended it to my patients.

When I went to the Positive Changes center in Dublin, Ohio, I found the center itself to be relaxed and friendly. It was nicely decorated and was an inviting place. The staff was excellent and very professional. The personal hypnotist that I worked with was also very skilled. I left after my first session with an incredible sense of wellbeing that hasn't left me since. I know I made the right decision in coming to Positive Changes.

I'm a type A personality. Sometimes that can be a good thing. It's a definite plus in certain professions. But that type of personality can sometimes be destructive because of the intense amount of energy that spills over onto other people. Since attending Positive Changes, I am able to be intense in my work, but it doesn't affect the people around me. I noticed changes in my life right after the first session. I could carry on a conversation with my wife without cutting her off. I kept my voice calm, even in the most stressful situations. It was a good feeling. I found that I wasn't too busy to take care of myself anymore. That was a great benefit to me.

After several weeks of attending the Positive Changes program, I found that I could use hypnosis in my daily life to keep myself calm and focused. All the daily issues that are a part of the life of a physician no longer overwhelm me. I am less temperamental with my staff. I found hypnosis to be extremely helpful. I also started to exercise more than I had in the past, and I was eating more healthfully.

Once I was convinced that hypnosis was having a positive effect on my life, I began to encourage family and friends to experience it for themselves. I also began recommending Positive Changes to patients undergoing treatment. Many physicians recommend hypnosis to their patients for relaxation, weight loss, pain control and more. Some people can relax on their own, but for those who need a helping hand, hypnosis is an excellent way to do it. I simply can't recommend Positive Changes enough.

People in my life are impressed with the changes I've made. They mostly notice how calm and relaxed I have become. It was like I had just come back from a long Caribbean vacation and had nothing on my mind but the present moment. Before hypnosis I couldn't enjoy being in the moment. I'm usually bombarded with numerous issues, patient concerns, and it made me short with people. Now I'm able to focus on one issue at a time.

When I walk down the street now, I notice things that I would have been too stressed or busy to notice before. I see the colors on the trees. I notice the small, beautiful things in life that I was missing before. I enjoy life more. I believe hypnosis is a great tool that can be effective for students, musicians, athletes, or people who have high-pressure jobs. There are a lot of benefits to hypnosis.

My family has been completely supportive of my decision to do this program at Positive Changes Hypnosis. They believe in the benefits and they have seen the results I've obtained for myself. The communication that I have with my children is better than it has ever been before. There is something to be said for being in control of your mind. It's a powerful feeling.

I would and do recommend Positive Changes Hypnosis to the people in my life whether it be patients, friends, or family. Hypnosis helps you gain control, put what you want in your mind, and feel better about your life. I strongly recommend Positive Changes Hypnosis to anyone who wants to make a change in their life. I want to congratulate Positive Changes for the great work they're doing.
